Entrants who register after Wednesday April 16, 2008 (Late Registration), will only be able to play in round 2 onwards.

NB: All players must be paid-up members of the Jamaica Chess Federation.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
Adult – $2000 per year/$1,000 for 6 months
Juniors (under 20 as at January 01, 2008) – $1000 per year/$500 for 6 months
NB: Half (½) point bye available only for first round and will only be allowed after proper registration prior to Thursday April 17, 2008.
PROPER REGISTRATION means paying the relevant fee(s) in addition to completing the registration form.
GUARANTEED PRIZES
OPEN SECTION: 1st – $10,000.
2nd $5000.00
3rd $3000.00
AMATEUR SECTION (under 1600 rating):
1st – $5000
2nd – $3000
3rd – $2000
Other prizes include best Under 10, 12 and 14 year-old players, best rural player, best female player, best junior and best new player.
